Death Rate Sky Rockets
Some of the reasons that I think that there were so many casualties during World War I was because it seemed like they just ran straight at each other, Judging from the Gallipolli movie trailer. It shows the opposing sides machine guns, mortars, and tanks firing into the masses of soldiers are they charged at each other. Also with the deadly gases such as Mustard Gas and Chlorine Gas, which caused a huge amounts of deaths. But the main cause of all deaths in World War I was in fact the Diseases, and infections that the soldiers were dealing with. Those are the factors that caused most of the deaths in World War I.
